WELCOME TO

PRE-SCHOOLER

Here’s their time to SHINE!

Early education is vital as children embark on their educational journeys as it lays the foundation for future academic and social success. Welcome to our pre-kindergarten program that helps prepare children for a positive start to their school journey.

Our sessions are designed to teach phonemic awareness, phonetic sounds, reading and spelling, number literacy, pincer grasp development, cognitive thinking etc.

Group Time

Group time happens every day in our classroom. For prekindergartners, teachers use this time to talk about the day or read a book before moving on to child-directed math, literacy, or small-group activities!

Language

Children learn to associate letter sounds with letter shapes using multisensory material, which incorporates the sense of touch to reinforce learning further.

Math

Mathematics is everywhere, and for young children, words such as more/less,” “not enough,” and “share” are all part of their daily vocabulary. However, math is also inherently abstract. It is a language that requires years to master, but it encompasses the basic foundations that all children must acquire: counting, numeral identification, and basic mathematical operations.

Building Brain Power

Your prekindergartner’s mind is ready for simple addition, subtraction, and science predictions! That’s why we build the cognitive skills they need for math and science.

Writing Their Names

In pre-K, your child will practice how to write their name—and you’ll start to see it all over their artwork! We’ll also work on letter formation.

Why is letter formation essential?

  • Handwriting difficulties may affect the writer’s attention over the long run, requiring them to prioritize the writing process over deciding what to write.
  • A fine motor activity, such as handwriting, stimulates the prefrontal cortex (a part of the brain associated with self-regulation and executive function).

Creating Art and Playing Pretend.

The students will build confidence by expressing themselves creatively through painting, singing, and creating music. Once the students have acquired the tools on their own, they can explore. Their teachers are always nearby with encouraging words!

Making Up Stories with Puppets

In children’s stories, there is always a beginning, middle, and end. A child’s communication ability is crucial for developing positive relationships and maximizing their potential. Children need a vocabulary-rich environment to thrive at pre-K and in their everyday lives. Children need to be able to understand and be understood.
